The weatherman says it’s gonna snow real bad in Nashville so we thought we’d manifest some sun ☀️

Oh boy, we love Ella Fitzgerald and Perry Como’s renditions of this beautiful song, and we just had to take a stab at it (featuring the gorgeous, serene crooning of our cellist, Silas Johnson; the sprightly piano touch and vocal arranging magic of Ben Morren; the dancing, playful soprano of our beloved Josie James; and oddly reverberant parlor guitar ditties from the perpetually giddy Joe Xiques). We hope you enjoy it (and sneak on over to our Patreon if you want to watch the whole thing 😉)

THANK YOU to everyone who has joined our Patreon this week - we are so overwhelmed with your generosity and support! It’s great to know that people are excited about keeping these classic tunes alive (and adding s**t singing and diminished key changes every time we get a chance.) Appreciate you gang!! 😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰😇😇😇😎😎😎 #

We started Young Original back in 2022 in the basement of Silas’s parents’ house (thanks Mom and Dad Johnson!!) and since then, we’ve somehow gotten to play for thousands of beautiful people in theaters across the country, and in a lot of living rooms through our social media videos.

We love making music together. But the hard part is that we’re all freelance musicians, juggling other work to pay the bills, which makes it tougher to consistently carve out time and budget to record and film.

But then we had a thought - what if our super awesome Young Original friends and fans might want to be part of making this music happen on a monthly basis?

So, we’re excited to announce our Young Original Patreon! It’s an online community where you guys can come behind the scenes with us as we make this music, get early access to our videos before anyone else, suggest what songs we should work up next, and help support keeping classic music relevant and alive for the younger generation.

If our music brings a little spark of joy to your day, we’d love to have you there! The link’s in our bio 🥰

We wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of you who have followed and supported Young Original over the years....

We wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of you who have followed and supported Young Original over the years.

Our band got started back in 2022 in the basement of Silas’s parents’ home (thanks Mom and Dad Johnson!) and since then we’ve been incredibly fortunate to play at theaters across the country, and share our fresh arrangements of classic "Great American Songbook" tunes with so many of you online (guessing that most of you first found us through our living room renditions of Mr. Sandman and Beyond the Sea). We truly don’t take any of it for granted.

We love making this music together. But the hard part is that we’re all freelance musicians, juggling other work to pay the bills, which makes it tougher to consistently carve out time and budget to record and film.

But then we had a thought - what if our super awesome Young Original friends and fans might want to be part of making this music happen on a monthly basis?

So….we’re excited to announce our Young Original Patreon! It’s an easy way for those of you who enjoy our music to help support it on a monthly basis. Members get early access to our videos, behind-the-scenes looks at how we make them, and a chance to help choose what songs we work on next.

If our music brings a little spark of joy to your day, we’d be honored to have you be part of it.

We had too much fun with this old Fred Astaire tune, danced to alongside Ginger Rogers in that classic movie TOP HAT! You can watch our full rendition over on YouTube if you *DARE* to exit this sacred platform and hit the forbidden “link in bio.” Oh also, there’s a special little announcement in the beginning of that video 👀

“What’s something you’re thankful for this Thanksgiving, drop it in the comments below! Oh drat, that was months ago…it still feels a little bit like Thanksgiving to me though. Did you know this 4th of July will be the 250th Anniversary of this nation? Maybe we should do a live stream”
