Wildlife World Zoo Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is home to Arizona's largest collection of exotic animals with more than 600 species. A: Yes! Facebook guidelines:

The Aquarium features over 75 indoor exhibits including stingrays you can feed, penguins, otters, and sharks plus rides & a petting zoo. Open 365 Days a Year (366 in 2020):
Zoo: 9am to 6pm (last zoo admission at 4:30pm)
Aquarium: 9am to 7pm

FAQ:

Q: What is your mask policy? A: Effective 4/8/2021 masks are recommended but not required

Q: Do you allow food? A: We do not allow coolers or outside food in the zoo** but you are welcome to carry your own water and if needed leave a cooler in your car; just be sure to stop at the gift shop on your way out to get your hand stamped.

**If you or your child has a severe food allergy, then you are welcome to bring ONE small soft sided cooler per family.
*Absolutely no glass containers of any kind allowed.
*Maximum cooler size allowed: 10”x8”

It’s wildcat week! Wildcats are the smaller members of the cat family. 🐱

Here at Wildlife World, we have Caracals and Bobcats.

Caracals can be found in dry savannas, deserts, and forests of much of Africa, the Middle East and Southern Asia. Their large, pointy ears, tipped with black tufted fur have over 20 muscles that allow their ears to swivel around like satellite dishes to detect prey more precisely. They are the largest of the small cats, with females weighing 13-35 lbs and males 18-44 lbs. on average they are 24-42 inches in size.

The Bobcat is an elusive and nocturnal species that roams throughout most of North America. Bobcats here in Arizona typically have a varied coloration that acts as natural camouflage by visually breaking up the animal’s physical outline against desert scrub, creosote, jagged canyon walls, and shifting shadows. A bobcat can remain completely motionless under a bush or rocky outcropping and become entirely invisible to both prey and humans just feet away.

Wild African penguins are now listed as Critically Endangered, with populations dropping sharply because of food shortages, habitat loss and oil spills. G’day from our kangaroos! 😃 It’s a beautiful day here at Wildlife World, and the perfect day to hop on over to visit the Kangaroo Walkabout and say hello to our mob!

The red kangaroo is found in the deserts and grasslands of Australia and is the world’s largest marsupial. Kangaroos can jump as far as 25 feet in a single leap, and as high as 6 feet and can reach speeds over 35 miles an hour! 🏃‍♂️

Happy National Badger Day from Penny & Dime, our American Badgers! 🦡 They MIGHT wake up from their snoozing if you stop by to say hello 😂

This small but mighty mammal can be found in grasslands throughout North America. They are part of the Mustelidae family, which includes other mammals such as the wolverine, ferret, weasel and otter! 🦦

They are solitary animals that live in burrows that they dig using their large sharp claws. They are carnivores and eat things like rodents, birds, bird eggs, reptiles, amphibians, insects.

Lace up your running shoes and get ready to run (or walk) on the wild side! The 2026 Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run returns to Wildlife World Zoo on Saturday, October 24th giving families, runners, walkers and wildlife lovers the chance to have fun locally while supporting conservation globally.

This unique “almost a 5K” takes participants through the zoo before it opens to the public for the day. It’s a fun way to get moving, enjoy the zoo in the cool morning hours and, most importantly, help protect one of Africa’s most iconic animals.

100% of the proceeds from Giraffe Jam will be donated to Save Giraffes Now, an organization dedicated to saving giraffes from extinction so they can live freely and safely in the woodlands and savannas of their native Africa.

And giraffes need our help.

Giraffe populations have declined by approximately 40% over the last three decades, and 50% or more of giraffe calves may not survive to adulthood. Today, there are approximately four times as many elephants in Africa as giraffes, while an estimated 3.8 million square miles of historic giraffe habitat has been lost. That’s an area roughly the size of the United States.

You can help make a difference!

Register for the 2026 Sanderson Ford Giraffe Jam Family Fun Run and join our community in taking steps - literally, to help save giraffes.
