We had so much fun this past weekend with you all!
We're still talking about all the fun contests and the fierce competition—you definitely brought your Moxie! From start to finish, the contests were packed with energy, and several came down to the wire. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this year's competitions so much fun!
Visit https://www.streamstate.tv/, generously sponsored by Renys and Androscoggin Bank, to see more of these fun events.
On Saturday, we enjoyed a very well attended parade, with some truly creative entries, including:
Schooner Estates brought us back to 1969 for the first Lunar Landing (Winner: Most Creative)
Cub Scout Troop 109 also gave a nod to space travel with their entry (Winner: Most Moxie, Non Commercial)
Aceto Earthworks showed their Moxie spirit with a wonderfully decorated truck (Winner: Most Moxie, Commercial)
Lisbon Community FCU took the prize for their entry featuring The Moxie Festival through the ages (Winner: Most Appealing)
Aubuchon Ace Hardware is always a strong competitor, taking top prize again for their Wild West display! (Winner: Best Over All)
After the parade, we held our annual Whoopie Pie Eating Contest, sponsored by Nutty Netties Cafe. We had so many entries this year for the first round we almost needed another table!
And finally, we watched Eric "Badlands" Booker successfully defend his title in the Moxie Chugging Contest, once again claiming the championship for the most Moxie chugged in just two minutes!
As an added bonus, the crowd was treated to a friendly mini showdown between Eric and former multi-time champion Beau Bradstreet. It was all in good fun and the perfect way to cap off this battle royale!
A huge thank you to Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast for generously donating the Moxie that made this fan-favorite event possible!
Then, on Sunday, we wrapped up the festival with another exciting first—our inaugural Battle of the Bands! Talented musicians from across the region took the stage, showcasing their skills and competing for top honors. This year's winner was Crosshair, but the competition was very close, with Kaiju coming in right behind them in second place. Thank you to Home At Last Realty, Two Lights Settlement, and CMG Mortgage for making this event a reality.
Creating Moxie memories this past weekend was a blast, and we can't wait to do it all again for next year!
