“I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” is a poem by Maya Angelou, first published in her 1969 autobiography of the same name. ..It contrasts the freedom of a “free bird” with the confinement and suffering of a “caged bird,” using the metaphor to explore themes of freedom, oppression, and the human spirit’s resilience. ..The poem is widely interpreted as a commentary on injustice and the struggle for equality...This a Tribute to The Mother Of Poetry herself. I wrote this poem entitled “The Caged Bird Continues” ..Here I am performing the poem At for the ..

I just want to remind somebody that what God has for you is never rushed. It’s never tainted or something you have to second guess… the first thing God/ The Universe does when you decide you want the abundance that’s associated with your birthright is clear out the bad, low vibrational energy! The individuals in your circle that’s not in alignment with the frequency you decided to function on. So when you see friends and family and co workers, neighbors, school mates, and church associates falling off your bandwagon… just remember that leveling up is happening, and in the moment you feel pressure the most, that’s when transformation takes place. 💫💙💫

Taking stock today to ensure that I am my ancestors' wildest dreams.

Commemorating Emancipation Day:
The use of the same colors on the Juneteenth flag as for the American flag was intentional – they serve as a reminder that enslaved people and their descendants are Americans, they honor the day that enslaved people were recognized as Americans under the law, and they symbolize the commitment of all Americans to live up to the ideals of liberty and justice for all.

The Star
The white five-pointed start in the center has two meanings. It represents Texas, the lone star state where news finally reached the last remaining people who were enslaved, and it also represents the freedom of African Americans that was obtained in all 50 states.

The Burst
The burst outline around the star is a nova, which is an astronomical term for a new star. This represents a new start for the African American people.

The Arc
The arc that separates the blue and red colors in the background of the flag represents a new horizon, which symbolizes new opportunities for African Americans. Alyson E. Bass

Idris Elba: Women fall in love with what they hear, Men fall in love with what they see. That's why women wear make up and men tell lies.

When someone Has proven themselves to be a person you cannot trust with truth, do you appease there taste buds and tell them only the things they like to hear? Or do you become like them and Allow the same frequencies to enter your atmosphere? Or do you deal with them for who they are?

Dr. Maya Angelou once said, “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.” This is one of the hardest life lessons that I've ever tried to follow, but it is sage advice. When someone really shows you and tells you who they are, take them at their word.
