WHAT IS BARREL RACING?
One of the fastest and most exciting events in rodeo, barrel racing is all about speed, precision, and teamwork between horse and rider! Contestants race around three barrels in a cloverleaf pattern, and the fastest clean run wins. Knock over a barrel? That adds time!
These talented riders and incredible horses fly through the arena making tight turns at top speed — it’s a crowd favorite every single time! Barrel racing is a true test of athleticism, horsemanship, and heart.

Planning is officially underway for the Pumpkin Center Pro Rodeo 2026… and our amazing volunteers are already hard at work behind the scenes making it all happen!
From organizing events to coordinating every detail, this rodeo is built on dedication, passion, and a whole lot of community spirit.
We couldn’t do this without our incredible team of volunteers who give their time to bring this tradition to life year after year.
