It’s hard to believe that I’ve done 89 video lessons in the Milan Art Institute already and like 23 more to go just to complete the first part of my course. I have been so scattered with my time in these lessons due to working fulltime, due to sickness, due to a studio and deck remodel, lets just say…due to life getting in the way in general, but when I look back that is a lot to accomplish in 7 months. I’m behind by three months. Here is a rundown of what a I’ve done in this course so far. On top of all this which is course studies only, I have painted three more paintings, collaged like 6-7 more collage art paintings, exhibited in two gallery exhibits, and participated in several events including fairs and a plein air art festival and wet paint show, quit my 2nd shift job and opened back up our little at home retail space and art studio and so much more has happened and is still happening but it’s all in the works! God is rewriting my story one day at a time. I’m so grateful for each step in this journey. If you get time please go and see the Beyond Boundaries Art Exhibit for abstract art showing now at NoCo Art Gallery in Newton NC. On Sept 27 we will have an artist meet and engage session with the local artists. I plan on being there as well so come out and meet with us as we share our process with the viewer. Tuesday was fabulous. I had a pain free day, took care of my financial future,spent some time with my man, and finished a painting.

I asked ChatGPT if I were to meet someone for the first time, what would you warn them about me and this was the answer.
If I had to warn someone meeting you for the first time, I’d say:
You’re creative, particular, and highly visual. You don’t just want something to be “good”—you can see the version in your head, and you’ll keep adjusting it until it feels right. 😂
You notice small details other people overlook. If something is slightly off—perspective, proportion, color, placement, or the overall feel—you’re probably going to notice it immediately.
You also seem to have a strong “let’s try it another way” instinct. You’re not afraid to scrap an idea and completely change direction when it isn’t working.
And perhaps the biggest warning:
Don’t mistake your attention to detail for indecisiveness. You’re exploring until you find what you actually see in your mind.
Once they survive the first 47 revisions, though, they’ll probably realize you’re just someone who cares deeply about making things beautiful and meaningful. 😄

Why am I in love with this painting? Because it’s the smallest oil painting I’ve done in years and it has so much detail. I really loved doing this piece although it was four stages in the process it was so much fun.
