Vernon Area Library Learning Garden

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to care for the library garden this summer! We harvested 202 pounds of vegetables to donate to the Vernon Township Food Pantry (the cucumbers were especially productive this summer!).

We look forward to next year's harvest!

🍅 The library garden needs you!
We are looking for volunteers to care for the garden for one week in the summer. This is a great opportunity for adults or families to teach children about gardening and community service.

🥒 What does caring for the garden involve?
- Visit the garden 2-3 times during your scheduled week at your convenience
- Water the garden using the hose
- Harvest the produce for the week and deliver it to the Vernon Township Food Pantry
