Please observe a moment of silence for Jay Martell “Marty” Madsen who has passed away.

Marty was an avid bowler, a shark of a pool player and a leader at Madsen’s his entire life and developed many amazing friendships along the way. He joins his brothers, John and Jim and his amazing parents, Earl & Viola in the great beyond.

Please send the best vibes to his surviving brother, Tom Madsen and son, Ben Madsen. Please respect their privacy at this time while they process this new chapter of life without him.

I was the luckiest of us all. I got to spend time with him while he visited me in New York City where we took the train all over the place, hit some Yankees Games and played skeeball until it hurt. I treasure those visits and honor a life that gave me so many laughs, unconditional love and the best bowling coach on the planet.

THREE CHEERS WITH YOUR BEERS FOR MARTY MADSEN.

My grandfather, Earl Madsen, was a TRAILBLAZER. In many ways! This is just one...

Squint and read his op/ed in Chalk Up magazine.

The prompt was to describe how "you have solved a sticky problem..."

Earl created the Lincoln Family Billiard Association in 1965. The problem he was solving was making it safe and fun for all ages to play pool. At that time there was an age limit on billiards! You had to be 18! So grandpa created a membership club and private room for FAMILIES to enable all ages to enjoy the game safely and most importantly, to have FUN at the FAMILY FUN CENTER!

How cool is that?!

Its a dud of a day. Especially this week since today is like the MONDAY of all TUESDAYs. TACO TUESDAY is TWISTED TUESDAY...

Its a dud of a day. Especially this week since today is like the MONDAY of all TUESDAYs. TACO TUESDAY is TWISTED TUESDAYS here at Madsen's. Keep the vibes high and come hang with us and eat tacos, bowl a game and grab a Twiiiiiiiiii.

Also, I am thinking of adding something fun to the Twisted Tuesdays agenda this Fall...TWISTED TRIVIA NIGHT. I think we could have a lot of fun with that!

If all goes to plan, we could start it up on 9/22? (Clearly I like the alliteration)
