LYP Schtick

LYP Schtick Comedy Improvisation Lyp Schtick’s bread and butter is short-form comedy improv. In fact, we’re as surprised as anyone with the results.

This means we create brief scenes and games based on suggestions from our audiences resulting in madcap hilarity. Our games are playfully frenetic and often involve music, singing and helpful volunteers from our audience. No two performances are alike as nothing is scripted and everything is created on the spot. Since there’s nothing to memorize, there’s no scripts. No scripts means no paper. No p

It really has been a bummer that our gang of crazies has been unable to perform for quite a long time. We miss you!

But perhaps this show at Lied Center for Performing Arts will tie you over until we can meet again. NEWSical The Musical is coming to Lincoln to parody the politicians, celebrities, and pandemics that have been driving us crazy.

From Tiger King to Trump, from bail-outs to Biden, from Covid to Comey – no one in the news is safe! It's also going to be the first mainstage show since March!

Shows are at 3:00pm and 7:30pm on Saturday, September 26th.
