Artist Bio for Fairies to Fangs

Once upon a Halloween; many, many full moons ago....

A 10 year old girl was asked by her Dad, to do his Dracula makeup for a costume party. Young and self-taught, she did not have much experience in full face makeup, let alone full face makeup on any adult. But as she loved to paint, she agreed to do it.

She gathered up all of the random Halloween paints that her family had kept in a Halloween tote, along with a sponge and a few Q-tips. She then sat her Dad down in a chair and stepped back to examine his face until the image of what she needed to paint was clear in her head. With paint in hand, she dove right into it. The end result was complete perfection. Her Dad (and Mom) loved it! She was an artist at heart and it showed. She was so happy that her Dad and Mom were so proud of her talent. So, she continued it. She painted more, she drew more, she watched the world around her for inspiration and her creativity continued to grow. From there on, she never stopped...

Nearly 30 years later, I am still face painting, and I still thoroughly enjoy it. Designs and techniques have changed so much over the years, and I use brushes now instead of Q-tips ;) I have also expanded my talents into body painting and airbrush techniques. Over the years I have worked at festivals, concerts, fairs, renaissances, city sponsored events, private events, company parties, general public events/parties and more! My work has gotten the attention of famous/well known CosPlayers (that seem to know the staff of “The Walking Dead”). I have also been able to travel, more so than with my “9 to 5” job that I still have.
