And yet violence against us has risen. Cisgender and straight people conflate being trans with drag, which is also incorrectly labeled as hyper sexual by bigots. That's why they simultaneously fetishize and despise us, we're a fantasy to cleanse their pallets before going back to the "normal world". That's why people scoff at the idea of someone dating or marrying a trans person, to them its like putting a ring on a dirty secret. Ironically a lot of trans people don't engage in sexual activity, shocking I know! Trans people are humans, turns out there has always been more than one way of existing as a human being. Letting others know about that isn't grooming, but your Propaganda and Hate certainly is.

I was afraid this would happen eventually in the US. Transgender people are not spreading a doctrine, people are not chemically or physically c*strating their kids. Trans adults and children just want to be themselves, to exist. There is no agenda. This is what happens when the State bypasses democracy to target a minority group, this is fascism in action.
