One of our festival promoters, Tracy Curvin - Flynn, speaks from the heart and it’s just too good not to share. From Tracy:

And a good time was had by all!
Well friends we made it through the 3rd Annual Talladega Bluegrass Festival! And let me tell you…..we had sunshine! We had cool weather! We had warm weather! We had blue skies! We listened to great music! We ate delicious food! We made new friends! We enjoyed visiting with old friends! We had so many special moments at this year’s festival that we just know were sent directly from Heaven above! ❤️ We laughed and we cried more times than we can count! Happy tears though. ❤️ And folks let me tell you, after almost dying from the heat for the past two years….we’re not ever going back to the summer! 😂We are O-fficially a FALL festival.
To all of our amazing sponsors, we just couldn’t do this without your support. Thank you for allowing us to do this for our music loving friends, old and new! With every “yes” you gave us, you made it that much easier to create magical moments that turn into the most special memories I distinctly remember looking around at all of the people sitting out under the stars enjoying the beautiful sounds those strings were making and being very aware that the only reason this was happening was because of all of those signs up on the stage. If you know folks that sponsor…tell them thank you. Call them. Hug em. Tell them you appreciate them! They truly are the best!!!
Here at Talladega Bluegrass we’re blessed with so many friends! Too many to count!! The kind that show up to decorate your stage even though they can’t be at the festival! I see you Pam Ginn! Friends that stop us as we’re walking past just to say thank you and show their appreciation. We had so many first timers at the festival this year! It was the greatest thing to hear someone say…this is our first time and we’re loving it and we’ll see you next year!! We heard that so many times!
I plan on sharing some special stories and videos in other posts, I just wanted to start with this message to you all. Dana and I are pretty darn tense coming into this thing! This is an emotional roller coaster for us. We’re operating in Dads area of expertise. He was always the Chief and we were the Indians doing MOST of what he told us. We just want it to be perfect for you all. We’re trying our very best and with every passing year we think of something else that we could have, should have, done better. It’s important to us that you enjoy yourself and have so much fun that you want to keep coming back. We’ll keep having this shindig as long as you keep coming. ❤️
My friend Nic came by the house yesterday and we were talking about his sweet mama and my sweet daddy. Who by the way…had been friends for years and years. We were talking about how we felt that they could still see us and were still proud of us. How they still kept an eye on us like they always had. Nic said he bet that ole Paul let God know that he had a bluegrass festival to attend this past weekend. I know that’s true because we felt Dads presence in everything that we did. We told so many tales on Daddy! All true of course! We met so many new friends that he would have wrapped his big old arms around and loved on! And to everyone who wrapped their arms around us…thank you. 😘
In case you missed it this time, come see us next year. I promise you won’t regret it. ❤️ We love y’all. We really do. 😘
“Music isn’t just a pleasure, a transient satisfaction. It’s a need, a deep hunger; and when the music is right, it’s joy. Love. A foretaste of heaven.” —Orson Scott Card ❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶

Something special will be happening this weekend! Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out have invited former bandmates, fiddler Justen Haynes and bassist Edgar Loudermilk, to sit in with them on this weekend's performance! We're looking forward to a weekend of great music with a special Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out reunion.
