As the year starts winding down and holiday shopping gets closer, we hope you’ll remember the small businesses in your community. 🧵💜

When you shop at Heavenly Stitches, you’re supporting the people who work here, the classes we’re able to offer, the services we provide, and the little white church that we love sharing with all of you.

And if there’s a sewist or quilter on your shopping list… well, you’re definitely in the right place. 😉

Fabric, notions, machines, supplies, classes and plenty of inspiration are waiting for you.

Shop small. Shop local. Keep creativity in our community.

A customer brought her machine in because her bobbin was acting up and her feed dogs weren't feeding the fabric properly.

Well… we found the problem. 👀

There was SO much lint packed underneath the stitch plate that neither part could move like it was supposed to!

Consider this your friendly reminder to CLEAN UNDER YOUR STITCH PLATE! 😂

A little regular cleaning can go a long way toward keeping your machine happy and stitching smoothly.

And if your machine is making strange noises, skipping stitches, or just not behaving, bring it to Heavenly Stitches! Our certified technician, Scott, is here to help get you back to sewing.

Over the years, I've spent countless hours helping my daughter Aizlynn bring her costume ideas to life. 🧵💜

There have been late nights, lots of sewing, problem solving, and plenty of moments when I wondered just HOW we were going to make her latest vision a reality. 😂

But looking back at all these costumes, I see so much more than fabric and stitches.

I see a little girl whose imagination was encouraged, whose creativity was given room to grow, and who learned that with a little determination (and sometimes a whole lot of help from Mom), she could make just about anything.

Now Aizlynn lives in Orlando and spends her free time as a cosplayer, still bringing incredible characters and ideas to life. And I couldn't be prouder. ❤️

All those years of helping with costumes were acts of love, even when they meant staying up way past my bedtime. And seeing how her creativity has blossomed makes every single stitch worth it.

So here's your reminder to encourage those creative little minds. You never know where their imagination might take them. ❤️💛💜

❤️💛 Hats off to my latest creations! 💛❤️

Because apparently running a quilt shop isn't enough to keep me busy… I've decided to make HATS, too! 😂🧵

I love finding new ways to get creative with fabric, and these were so much fun to make! 💜

One of my favorite things about sewing is that there's always something new to try. And let's be honest, I never have a shortage of project ideas!

Now I need your help… which hat is YOUR favorite? Tell me in the comments! ❤️💛💜

Machines packed? Projects picked? Snacks secured? 😂🧵

We’re ready for a weekend filled with sewing, creativity, plenty of laughs, and LOTS of progress on those projects.

To everyone joining us, we hope you enjoy every minute. And if you missed out this time, keep watching our class and event calendar so you don’t miss the next opportunity.

Now the big question… how many projects did you pack versus how many do you realistically think you’ll finish?

Different fabrics. Different personalities. Different little twists along the way. And SO many beautiful finished blocks and quilts!

UPDATE: Congratulations Sabrina Daley-Baker!

This lovely lady completed her Shop Hop right here at Heavenly Stitches, and we were SO excited for her that we did what any professional business would do…
Celebrated. Took the picture. Cheered her on.
And completely forgot to ask her name. 🤦‍♀️😂🤦‍♀️

So, mystery Shop Hopper, if you see this… CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉🧵 And please tell us your name in the comments so we can properly celebrate you. 😂❤️💛💜
Apparently we got a little too caught up in the excitement!
