A Little Piece of Kauai — Original 11 x 14 Painting
There are places that never really leave you, and for me, Kauai is one of them.
After spending years on the island, surfing its waters, and being surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific, the ocean became more than a place to visit. It became part of my life and a part of who I am as an artist.
This original 11 x 14 painting on canvas captures a Hawaiian sea turtle gliding over a colorful reef, surrounded by deep ocean blues, shifting light, and the rugged textures of the underwater world. I wanted to bring together the movement, color, and feeling of being beneath the surface in the waters that made my time on Kauai so memorable.
Painting these scenes takes me back to the island — to the rhythm of the ocean, the incredible colors beneath the water, and that feeling of being connected to something much bigger than yourself.
Although life has taken me away from Kauai, Hawaii is still a part of me, and I’m grateful to be able to bring a little of that world onto canvas.
