July 4, 2026 marks America’s 250th Anniversary, and we are celebrating! You might remember previous posts highlighting Bells Across PA, a commemorative art project featuring one (or more!) artistically designed Liberty Bells in every county across the state.

Check out the results from our first Raku firing of the year! Raku is an ancient Japanese technique dating back to the 1500s. Glazed bisqueware is placed in an outdoor kiln, removed with tongs while glowing hot, and placed in a flammable material to starve the glaze of oxygen. The result is a beautiful, shiny glaze coloration!
