Lights in Liberty Lights in Liberty is a community event for all of Liberty County, Texas and surrounding areas. Check our website and Schedule of Events to learn more.

Starting in November, every Tuesday night through December 16th, there is something for everyone to usher in the joyous holiday season. Our main events are The Lighting of the City Park on November 18th at 6:30 pm at City Hall on Sam Houston Street, Liberty and our RAYS OF LIGHT LIGHTED PARADE on December 2nd, at 6:15 pm around the city square.

What began as a small group of people with a simple vision has become a wonderful way to celebrate our community, shine a light on local businesses, and bring a little extra Christmas cheer to Liberty, TX. We hope that it will continue to be one of our city’s most beloved traditions in the days to come.

In 2025, Lights in Liberty dazzled City Square with more than 66,500 sparkling lights, festive decorations, and community-centered events. Five Tuesday nights offered something special for everyone to enjoy. From families making memories together to visitors experiencing the magic of Liberty during the holidays, the spirit of Christmas came alive in a truly unforgettable way.

Now, preparations for Lights in Liberty 2026 are just around the corner, and the excitement is already building!
