What an amazing day! What an amazing show!
We are so thankful!! Since it was hard to hear, I want to post my thank you speech as so many people helped make this happen…
“Good evening, Liberty Center! 🐯🎆 What an incredible night this is. For the first time in over 20 years, fireworks are coming back to Liberty Center — and it is all because of this amazing community right here. Look around you tonight, because every single person in this stadium helped make this moment possible.
Before we light up the sky, I want to take a few moments to recognize the people and businesses who made Tigers Light The Sky a reality.
First, I want to thank Liberty Center Schools for opening up this stadium and giving us the perfect home for this celebration. We are so grateful for your generosity and your support of this community event.
A very special thank you goes to the Liberty Center Fire Department — because this whole night was their idea. They came to us with the vision of bringing fireworks back to Liberty Center, and we ran with it together. From the very first planning meeting to right here, right now, they have been incredible partners every step of the way. And tonight they are right here with us, keeping us all safe so every family can enjoy the show worry-free. We are so grateful for everything they do for this community every single day.
I also want to recognize two women who have been absolutely indispensable to this event from the very beginning. Ronda Miller — when our original fireworks company fell through, Ronda stepped up without hesitation and found us the incredible show you are about to see tonight. She has gone above and beyond in every single aspect of the planning and ex*****on of this event, from helping secure sponsors to handling countless details behind the scenes. Ronda, we simply could not have done this without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💛
And to Kelley Taormina — Kelley has been there from day one, pouring herself into every aspect of this event with dedication, passion, and a heart of gold. From helping bring sponsors on board to handling more details than we could ever count, Kelley has been a rock throughout this entire journey. Thank you, Kelley, for everything you have done to make this night possible. 💛
Now I want to recognize our incredible sponsors — because without them, tonight simply would not be what it is. Please join me in giving a big round of applause for each and every one of them:
Our Platinum Sponsor — Davis Farm Services, Inc.
Gold Sponsors — Randy Mastin Septic Tank, Inc. and Von Deylen Plumbing & Heating
Silver Sponsors — Swanton Welding, Liberty Township Trustees, Liberty Center Fire Department, and Hill Construction Services
Bronze Sponsor — Bridgemill Private Wealth
Community Friends — K. Kern Painting, LC Historical Society, and Custom Agri Systems
And our incredibly generous community donors — Cheryl and Carl Carter, Dave Alvord and Nina Andrews, Ken and Robin Carpenter, Johnston Fruit Farms, Charlene Snyder, Rick and Ronda Miller, Mary Hill, Delventhal Landscaping, Tom and Cindy Overmier, LC UMC Church Classes, and The Orr Family.
Every single one of you believed in this community, and we are so grateful.
We also want to give a huge thank you to Shane Piasecki and the Lone Wolf Hippies for an absolutely amazing night of live music! It was so special to have one of our own LC graduates back home entertaining us tonight.
And a very special thank you to the Liberty Center VFW Post 6596 honor guard. Your service and dedication to this country means everything to us, and we are so proud to have you here.
And finally — to each and every one of YOU. Thank you for coming out tonight. Thank you for supporting this event. Thank you for being the kind of community that shows up for each other. Liberty Center, you are something truly special. 💛🐯”
**I also want to thank Kim Maneval for all her hard work today, Brian Meyer for going above and beyond, the 8th grade boys baseball team for helping with cleaning up, the Junior class boys for helping sell raffle tickets, and all of our families for all the help you all gave! When we volunteer to do things, our families just know they will be helping too! Thanks to all!
My heart is bursting with pride!!
Thanks again LC,
Bernadette Meyer
