Some on the art I uploaded to Etsy this week. I am runnign a 25% off sale with free shipping through the end of August. Which is your fav? I always wonder what will sell and what won't. Surprises me at times TBH.

The reveal is in! My daughter visited today and selected these three pieces for her new apartment:

Image 1: A rich teal, magenta, and plum composition with soft lacing throughout.

Image 6: A vibrant split-flow piece featuring cool blues and greens on top contrasted with warm burgundy and gold tones along the base.

Image 5: A striking high-contrast piece with dramatic splashes of deep red, coral, and pale sage against a solid black background.

Thank you to everyone who dropped guesses on the last post—it was so fun seeing what everyone picked out! I was shocked she picked Image 5 because it was the painting I had stressed over because so much of the green had dripped off while drying on the table!

Which of these three is your personal favorite?

Created this set recently and LOVE it. Thoughts? I can't decide if I will sell it or just use it in my home :)

My daughter requested a painting for her new apartment. She gave me the colors she wanted. I created all of these for her to choose from. She is coming for a visit Saturday (I can't wait! She lives several hours away and I haven't seen her since January). She will get to select whichever painting (or paintings) that she wants. Which do you think she'll take????

Another lesson learned! I was happy with my painting (Figure 1) and left iit on my LEVEL table to dry. The next morning so much of the green had dripped off the side and the painting now looked like Figure 2! I realized my mistake--too late! I had added some black to the center intending to slightly increase the negative space...but I added too much! Have any of you had something like this happen?

The fluid art mystery I’ve been trying to solve for weeks! 🎨💡

I’ve been practicing my Dutch pours and blowouts like crazy lately, but I was stuck in a vicious loop. Sometimes the paint moved smoothly and neatly; other times it blew out totally wild and untamed.

I was working on a custom piece for my daughter’s new place using her colors (burgundy & green). On the first try? Both sides blew out into total chaos. I convinced myself I had flooded the canvas with too much black base coat and drowned out the design.

After letting it dry, I went back in to paint over it. The green side? Blew wild again. I felt so defeated!

But then I tried the burgundy side... and it turned out PERFECT.

That’s when the lightbulb went off. 💡 It wasn’t my Floetrol consistency, and it wasn’t too much base coat... I wasn't using ENOUGH of my blowout colors!

When you don't lay down enough color mass, the air stream shears right through the thin pigment and scatters wisps across the canvas. When you add a heavier puddle of color, the air pushes a smooth, solid wave over the base!

Swipe through the progress photos to see the trial-and-error in real time! ➡️

👇 Fluid artists: Have you ever spent days troubleshooting your base paint or fluid consistency when you really just needed a bigger puddle of color? Let me know in the comments!
