After considering several factors, LexPhil has made the difficult decision to cancel the Sunday, October 25, 3:00 PM performance of Heroes & Villains: Symphonic Movie Music at the Singletary Center for the Arts.

Saturday's performance on October 24 at 7:30 PM will proceed as scheduled.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Ticket holders of Sunday's cancelled performance can learn more about the decision and explore their ticket options at the link in our bio.

As we celebrate our 65th anniversary season, we're looking forward to a fantastic concert featuring some of cinema's most iconic music, and we'd love the opportunity to share it with you. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Lexington Philharmonic.

🎉 Happy 90th birthday, Steve Reich!

Steve Reich has been called “the most original musical thinker of our time” by The New Yorker and “among the great composers of the century” by The New York Times. His groundbreaking music has transformed the way we experience rhythm, repetition, and harmony—profoundly influencing generations of artists around the world.

Come celebrate with us on November 6 for SCFA Expansive Sounds Series #10: Bang on a Can All-Stars - 90/90, a special program honoring Steve Reich and Philip Glass, both celebrating their 90th birthdays this year.

The All-Stars will perform Reich’s NY Counterpoint and 2×5, alongside Glass’s Glassworks—bringing together the music of two visionary composers whose work has forever changed the sound of contemporary music.
