For six weeks the hilarious and creative students of our Femmes & Thems Standup Comedy elective course have worked with mentors and coaches to craft their first five minute standup set. They’ve had the pleasure to work with professional comics Heather Shaw Deanna Ortiz and k.c.novak both in person and online.

Saturday morning is their final session with the great K.C Novak! Then, they have two showcases where you can see them perform - this Saturday 8/29 and Saturday 9/12, both at 7:30.

OUCH! Ticks do not play in South Africa! Thank you so much Andrew Shayde for sharing your stories from your reality TV adventures on Naked and Afraid and The Amazing Race! Our improvisors had so much fun using them as inspiration. And thank you to the lovely Laura Neutzling of Four Eyes Media for interviewing your friend Andrew!

Tonight (Saturday!) at Lex Comedy enjoy two hilarious improv shows with some of the region’s best talents.

7pm: Hot Seat Improv Comedy with very special guest Andrew Shayde - reality TV vet of CBS’ The Amazing Race, Buddy Games, and five wild seasons on Discovery Channel’s hit series Naked and Afraid.

Our improvisers for the evening include an eclectic mix from Lex Comedy Co., Improv Cincinnati, and Central Kentucky Improv. These talented performers will use Andrew’s stories to inspire their improvised comedy.

8:15pm: The Upvote Show! This Reddit-Inspired show is a fully unscripted. Experience the internet’s most chaotic, hilarious, and brutally honest stories come to life on stage.

Upvote is an Improv Cincinnati production in town for one night only ready to make Lexington laugh!
