Tried something SO out of my comfort zone. 🥹
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a certified perfectionist. I was the kid who took my notes home to RE-write them just so I could have perfect handwriting. 😂 I’ll redo a portrait over and over until I get it just right. I like sticking to what I know, I’m very stuck in my ways, and I really like for things to work out exactly the way I pictured them in my head. 🥴
And lately, the Lord has been gently reminding me that life doesn’t always look the way I planned it.
This past week, I decided to make something completely different. No portrait. No pencils. No real plan beyond some paint, a canvas, foam board, spackle, and a slightly unhinged vision of a giant piece of buttered toast. 😂 And it definitely didn’t turn out exactly the way I pictured it.
But maybe that’s why I love it so much.
Because life has never looked exactly the way I pictured it either. Plans change. Things get messy. Sometimes I have absolutely no idea how something is going to work out.
And yet, He continues to provide. He continues to make a way. Every. Single. Time.
So maybe I needed this little imperfect piece of toast hanging in my house more than I realized. 🥹🤍
