New England Light Opera

New England Light Opera is a professional, not for profit operetta and musical theater company A Musical Fantasy on Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald.

Founded in 2001, New England Light Opera performs operettas, concerts of operetta, and early American music theater in towns all over eastern Massachusetts. Past shows have included The Merry Widow and The New Moon, along with the premieres of The (In)Compleat Works of Gilbert and Sullivan and Yes Yes Jeanette! Revues include shows about Cole Porter, George Gershwin, songs of the 30's, and more.

Tickets links to Hooray for Hollywood have been fixed! Boston are folks, I hope you'll join us for Hooray for Hollywood this weekend in Melrose and Lexington. Jean Danton, Joe Stroup, and I will be performing some all time classics, some forgotten gems, as well as have a sing along, and some "name that tune"! Is a really fun show--hope to see you there!

We're back--and we're bringing pirates! We are pleased to be presenting our friends from Greater Worcester Opera in a staged concert performance (featuring a number of NELO regulars) of Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance.
