I do what I do...it's never a competition or about anything to prove, I don't try to keep up with the "Jones"...some days I walk slow...some days I run fast...if others get to the finish line before me...congrats....I'm just loving life,,,been me all my life, dont want to be nobody else....
I am an Independent Country/Southern Gospel artist from Lexington SC. “I sing what I feel and feel what I s

ing, today is a great day to be alive”. I would hope that you would find my songs favorable and that you enjoy them. I am convinced that I will not please everyone, and that is fine. My goal wasn't to please everybody anyways. You will find a little something here for everyone because even though we have different tastes in music, perhaps one will be a favorite. Remember a diamond was once just a lump of coal... If you understand this then, become a fan, friend, and follow me as I journey.

So sorry to hear about Toby Keith this morning. He gave it a heck of a fight. He didn’t give up, he rode that horse to the end. “Should’ve been a cowboy”… well I think he was. Ride on Toby. ~EltonMishoeMusic

Sad to hear that Tony Keith just passed. He was Heck of a singer songwriter. Gone way too soon. Thanks for all the great songs Toby. Fighter to the end. ~EltonMishoeMusic

I was raised in South Carolina. Never once did I question my parent's income, it was never a discussion. We didn't eat a lot of fast food because it was considered a treat, not a food group. We drank Kool-Aid made from water that came from our kitchen sink with real sugar. And juice from a cardboard canister in the frozen section. We ate fried egg sandwiches, fried bologna sandwiches, some even ate tuna (which was in a can, not a pouch), PB&J & grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs(straight out of the fridge), but mostly homemade meals consisting of meat, potatoes, and vegetables, and pot roast or fried chicken on Sundays after church.

We grew up during a time when we mowed lawns, pulled weeds, babysat, helped neighbors with chores to be able to earn our own money. We by no means were given everything we wanted.

We went outside a lot to play, ride bikes, run with friends, play hide and seek, or went swimming and horseback riding. We rarely just sat inside. We drank tap water from the water hose outside, bottled water was unheard of.

You LEARNED from your parents instead of disrespecting them and treating them as if they knew absolutely nothing. What they said was LAW, and you did not question it, and you had better know it!

We watched what we said around our elders because we knew if we DISRESPECTED any grown-up we would get our behinds whipped, it wasn't called abuse, it was called discipline! We held doors, carried groceries, and gave up our seat for an older person without being asked. You didn't hear curse words on the radio in songs or TV, and if you cursed and got caught you had a bar of soap stuck in your mouth. ***well I never had the soap, but I got the pop!!

“Please, Thank you, yes please, no thank you, yes ma'am, no ma'am yes sir, and no sir were part of our daily vocabulary!

Consider Re-posting if you're thankful for your childhood. I will never forget where I came from and only wish children nowadays had half the chance at the fun and respect for real life we grew up with! And we were never bored!

Happily Copied and pasted ♥️

❤️❤️UPDATE on Sandy McCaffrey Mishoe
I happy and thankful to be able to report that Sandy has made a miraculous recovery after suffering 2 cardiac arrest back to back of which means technically she literally passed away twice. It’s been rough but happy to say she as of today, Sunday morning is no longer in a ICU room but now in a reg hospital room with talk of going home. God is good. Thousands of you were praying and God answered. ~Elton
