As June arrives, many of us are feeling a little blue realizing that we aren’t in a frenzy of excitement gathering our camping gear and instruments. While conversations would be buzzing around the house,
“Where’s the bug spy?”
“Mom, have you seen my swimsuit?”
“Did you remember the marshmallows?”
“Do you think David will have his fire pit?”
“I hope Marty doesn’t forget his coffee pot!”
“Hopefully, the porta-potty will be inside the Kids Camp fence.”

Katie and I will miss seeing all those beautiful little faces crowding around the registration table. Everyone eager to hug old friends, create new friendships, learn some new songs and then on Thursday night, climb those step and crowd the stage to kick off another year of FOB.

We now have hope that we can/are overcoming this pandemic. Please know, the Cornett Family made a very difficult decision to cancel another festival. I can promise you, it was a difficult decision, made in good conscience.

Hopefully, next year (2022), we will once again gather to pitch tents and seek the shade of those glorious shade trees and enjoy another week of organized chaos.

As we are all well aware, this summer is going to look a lot different. Looking at my calendar, I noticed today should have been Tent Pitching Day. While we won't be gathering under tents and shade trees, learning new songs, reminiscing with old friends, kindling new friendships, roasting marshmallows and decorating Christmas trees, know that this is only one season. Soon, we will be back together, doing all these things and more. Until then, stay safe and know that we are missing you guys as much as you are missing Camp.
This year's theme was Christmas, so for a bit of fun share a bit of Christmas cheer. Show us your best, Christmas in June look.

Missing you all,
Tina May

Believe it or not, Camp is 4 months away and now is the time to register.
Remember, by registering early (4/15) we can make sure we have the correct t-shirt size.

And let me tell you, the shirts are going to be awesome.
