A wonderfully fun and happy closing celebration party for the RODNEY HATFIELD & LYNN SWEET Exhibit.

Congratulations to both of these iconic Kentucky artists. Thank you for sharing 50 years of your extraordinary talent with so many that love and appreciate you. You brought the joy!

Thank you Lee Carrol Trio for bringing your talent through your music at the party and we even got to hear Rodney sing!

Thanks to all who loaned and purchased Hatfield & Sweet art works, sponsors of the exhibit, media support by Sophisticated Living and UnderMain, Frankie York, so many exhibit visitors and all who joined us for the amazing Artist Talks by Rodney and Lynn.
It was fun and meaningful.
We will remember this one and smile.

Happy 250 America 🇺🇸

Jasper Johns, whose iconic 1954–1955 masterpiece Flag bridged the gap between Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art.
Inspired by a dream in 1954, Johns began an ongoing series featuring the stars and stripes. His most famous works include the original Flag (1954–1955) at the Museum of Modern Art, Three Flags (1958) at the Whitney Museum of American Art, and White Flag. He uniquely utilized encaustic—a mixture of pigment and melted wax—layered over newspaper collage to give the flags a heavy, textured, sculptural quality.
