Just a reminder that this Saturday from noon to 5 Grandpa Pats Crafts will be at the Mermaid for a show/sale and we're excited for the Season to begin.

Excited for my new endeavors. Hahaha. Since I am unable to access actual 5x7 and 8x10 frame blanks. I have been trying my hand at making the frames myself. A little bit more to it than I thought.
After some doing. I finally got out of my own head and I actually got a few made. I don't mind saying even without the Stones covering them they look pretty darn good.

At any rate. If you have time Saturday come out to the Mermaid and look around. Not exactly sure what to expect. We shall see you there.

I haven't been able to find wood 5x7 and 8x10 picture frames at all. Either I figure out how to make them or wait and wait for them to come available.
I have not been able to find wood 8x10s for a couple years so I haven't been making them for a while. And I have not been able to find 5x7s since October last year. I have no choice but to make my own frames of shut off the steady stream of 5x7 sales.
Long story short. I found a hand mitersaw box and saw. Totally wasted my time and money. Hahaha. Uneven cuts that zigzag and didn't match edges at all.
Needless to say I was P . After searching marketplace for a couple weeks. I didn't find any close to me. Until last week. A couple miles away a miter saw for $5 but it needed a switch. Hahaha. I've spent more than that on tools and got it to work. And new ones are $85 on up.
I picked it up and ufda it was a 12 inch saw. Huge and heavy.
Hahaha about $20 in switch and brushes. And roughly a half hour time. Flipped the switch and boom... it works. A little overkill on the saw need. But $25 bucks and a little time. Its a 12 inch Hitachi miter saw. The saw is roughly 10 years old but the compared one now is $325 on up. Completely excited to get started on this venture. Crossing my fingers.

On our Judy Garland museum tour. We got to see the carriage from Wizard of Oz. That was pulled by the "Horse of a different Color".
Hahaha. Yeah I know.... We did see the display he stole the Ruby Slippers from. It was odd to walk thru the old home she was a child in. Very much a simpler time.

Well it's Absotively Gorgeous here in Grand Rapids. We're sat up Early . Listening to the Loons crying just now passing thru. Sea gulls screaming for handouts.

Very big festival the way it looks. Vendors and Food trucks over a square block . Atleast! People milling around. Our favorite is the dogs. Big ones and little ones.

Crossing my fingers weather is suppose to be low 80s . Should be fun.

We made it to Grand Rapids Minnesota for Tall Timber Days. Lisa decided we needed to get here so we could go to the Judy Garland Museum. I have been up here many times working Shows either Crafts or Mini Donuts. With my late wife. We stayed next door for several years. Kept missing the open times.

So my lovely wife Lisa made sure we made it during business hours. Thanks Dear.
