?Poolside?

This mixed media painting, measuring 36?x 48?, evokes the promise of cool relief from the summer heat. One blossom seems to be wilting as the palette further emphasizes the contrast of hot and cold.
This was painted in Danville, Kentucky, USA.

Tomato Season

I painted this piece after friends around me started talk of canning their tomatoes! The number at the bottom represents the day and number of paintings I had done in that month. It is my personal catalog system. I thought it looked cute under the tomatoes.
