Matchstick Goods Matchstick Goods exists to make beautiful ceramic goods and to hire and mentor youth in N. Lexington.

Matchstick Goods is a non-profit based pottery company that is committed to employing and mentoring youth in North Lexington. Together, our staff and student employees make beautiful handmade ceramics while building arts-based and professional skills that will serve them for years to come. Our offerings range from home decor to functional kitchen items to ceramic jewelry, and all of it is handmade

here in our studio. We are part of a larger nonprofit called Common Good, and located inside of Embrace Church.

After nearly a year of work, this beautiful mosaic is now hanging in the program hallway. If you look closely, you can find small imperfections and differences between the 700 tiles that make it up. Once you take a step back, it becomes obvious that the little variations are exactly what makes it so striking.

Our community at Common Good is like this mosaic. Yes, it’s amazing to look at, even at the first glance. But if you look closer, you’ll find lots of little intricacies that make it even more special.
