What a whirlwind of a weekend! It’s been busy, but oh so deeply rewarding.

I’ve loved spending quality time with my dance sisters over these past few weeks, but this weekend was extra special. Friday night had Cyra and me in Louisville performing at The Refuge until midnight, followed by a wonderful day yesterday with a group of the Arabesque dancers sharing our art out at the DiverCity Festival right here in Lexington.

To top it all off—and equally rewarding—I got to host a birthday performance and workshop for 17 amazing young ladies (ages 13–15) right here at Arabesque today. I absolute love sharing this dance with youth. It helps demystify the art form for those who have never experienced it before. Between three short performances and teaching them the basics, that hour absolutely flew by!

My feet are tired, but my heart is so full.
