What a wonderful week it was in St. Louis! We placed 28th in the chorus contest out of 39 choruses competing! Thank you to all of our friends in NED for supporting us as we crossed the stage! Whether you were with us in person or watching virtually, we felt the love and encouragement from each and every one of you. We especially want to shout-out Voices United Mixed Chorus for the wonderful send-off video! It gave us encouragement and brought us much joy! We also want to thank Vocal Revolution for coming along for the ride! It was fun having the entire Greater Boston Chapter together in the city. We enjoyed spending the week with you!
Another big highlight from our week was watching the quartet finals last night, where GQ took home the gold! This is the first time a women's quartet has won the quartet competition in the Barbershop Harmony Society! When we came to International in Denver last year, they surprised us by coming to one of our rehearsals and singing for us. This year, we were granted an opportunity to see them perform before they hit the stage for the Semifinals during a set swap between ourselves, Metro Voices, and Space City Sound. Being a small, treble chorus, it's easy to get discouraged when you're up against so many other groups, but you inspire us to get better every day. Thank you for everything that you do. To say we are thrilled for you would be an understatement, we are absolutely ecstatic and are so incredibly hopeful for the future of Barbershop. Congratulations to all of you! You earned it! Enjoy your championship year!
