What's one of the best parts about singing with VocaMotion? The people, of course! Today, in our new series, Get to Know VoMo, we'd like to introduce you to some of our amazing members that make VocaMotion the place to be on the first and third Wednesday of every month! Starting off, we have one of our amazing tenors, Liz Craig!
Liz wanted to join a chorus after taking some time off when her younger children were born. VoMo was the perfect fit! If she's not rocking VoMo blue, you might catch her wearing jungle green, her favorite color, the bluest green you get before crossing over into teal.
When not on the risers, she's a foreign filing paralegal that loves spending time with her family. They enjoy traveling to beach towns in Maine like York and Ogunquit, two of her favorites, and spend time in the White Mountains. If she's not doing any of those things, you might catch her playing the piano or swimming.
Some of her most fond memories are with her family. When she was younger, one of her uncles drove trains for Amtrak, and he'd let her blow the train whistle sometimes. More recently, she's enjoyed watching her kids learn how to ride bikes without their training wheels and learning how to swim.
When we asked what she loves about singing with us, she said "I love singing in a competitive treble chorus, I love the genuine friends I've made, the camaraderie, the seemingly endless opportunities for growth both individually and as a group, the music we make, and those tight barbershop harmonies...the list goes on and on! It's sometimes hard to remember life before VoMo π"
Interested in seeing what we're all about? We have rehearsals on the first and third Wednesday of every month at Follen Church in Lexington at 7 pm!
