First thing, if you had the big black side by side that was extremely loud, leave it at home. It will not be let through the gate next year. Also, we will also modify our strategy on E bikes, golf carts, and all motorized vehicles. There are a lot of them and 95% followed the rules. Thank you.
Kentucky is always well represented at Spirit In The Bluegrass Music Fest! But I also want to shout out Maine, South Dakota, Maryland, Wisconsin, Florida (a bunch!), Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, Missouri, and Virginia!!! These are just the ones I know for sure! If there are other states represented let me know!
I want to first thank the people who make SPIRIT possible and run as smoothly as it does! Especially with the new set up this year which was a huge hit!! Meghan Doss and the front gate staff is unreal and work their ass off every day. Bob and Rita Small, along with Darrell and Mitzi Eppertt, that do all the behind the scenes and maintenance are incredible. All the Ragheads that clean trash and do the heavy lifting are my peeps and I love their dedication! Houston and Jayden, the beer girls, and the Brandenburg sisters and their VIP staff girls that make your experience the best it can be. It takes a village!!!!
This festival, run by SamJam Promotions and Festivals, aided by the years of attending the previous festival is personal to me. Nothing makes me happier than to bring this back to one of the premier festivals in the country. Looking at that field packed full every night and the campground bulging at the seams makes me happy and the number of campers that put deposits back for next year is humbling.
I just want to thank the best fans in bluegrass, the workers, and all volunteers, for letting me live this crazy bluegrass dream. I am already working on next year to up the experience for all of you.
Stay tuned for the next adventure in Corbin, KY at Cumberland Run October 16-17! Horses, Gaming, Beverages, and Bluegrass!!! Game on!!
