Here is how you can participate in Give 8/28 Community Day this Friday:

Show Up: Head to Gatton Park between 5 PM and 9 PM. Entrance is FREE!

Connect: Walk through the Nonprofit Village and chat directly with leaders doing the work on the ground.

Give & Match: Donate on-site during hourly matching windows to double your dollars, thanks to SoulFeast Week matching funds and BackBlack’s social matches.

Amplify: Share your giving on social media using to unlock bonus challenge prizes!

Here is a taste of what’s hitting the stage from 5 PM to 9 PM on Friday, August 28:

Headliner: Blues icon Tee Dee Young Tee Dee Young (Blues Artist) bringing down the house

DJ: MAPPQUEST🌎 bringing you the vibes

Host: Martina Barksdale Martina Barksdale keeping the energy high all evening

Community Showcases: High-energy performances from local youth and nonprofit groups

Food & Drinks: Local food vendors serving up great eats all night

It’s completely FREE to attend, bring the whole family, meet local nonprofit founders, and support the causes you care about most.See you at the park!

This year, SoulFeast Week is doubling down on our support for Give 8/28. We are officially matching some funds on Community Day to help amplify every single dollar raised for local Black-serving nonprofits!

Lexington, we are taking community giving to the next level!

SoulFeast Week is proud to support the Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative for Give 8/28 Community Day at Gatton Park!

Last year, our city raised over $230,000 for 40 local Black-serving nonprofits. This year, we’re coming together in person to build on that momentum.

Join us for an evening of live music, food vendors, high-energy performances, and direct connection with the leaders shaping our city.
