It was two months ago that Anjohl moved into our home. It was not an immediate nor easy transition for Adami and him. Although they aren’t sleeping curled together nor grooming each other, this past week has allowed them to learn some boundaries and play more and more.

Today we, their people, actually went out of the house for about an hour or so and left them alone together. We returned and both seemed great.

It has been a challenge sometimes, tears of exhaustion and frustration were sometimes shed by person-t, but today we stood and watched them and exclaimed “we have cats!”

Thank you to everyone who has been kind and shared their perspectives and experiences as we have integrated these two half siblings. Never has it taken this long for us to introduce cats but, mostly thanks to person-j’s unwavering faith in them, Anjohl and Adami are living well in the same space.

We still have some trust to build but we were able to all take a short car ride together to have a small adventure at a local park. Life is good.
