Footnotes Dance Studio

Dance studio for children and adults age 1-99. Footnotes Dance Studio is a certified Acrobatic and Aerial Hoops dance studio.

Footnotes offers a variety of dance classes including Acro, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Dance Team, Pointe and Aerial Hoops. Footnotes instructors are caring and love to teach dance but more important they love instilling confidence and caring in every dancer that steps through our doors. We have a very successful preschool program and begin teaching as soon as children can walk.

Our toddler and parent classes are fun, creative and a great environment for children to learn and interact in. Our upper level classes are fun and instructional and our teachers know how to interact and have fun while teaching.

Check out our precision team dancers in their new team jackets! 🤩 We’ve got a lot of exciting stuff planned for them this season. You can see them do their first performance at the Lewiston Roundup Parade next weekend! They’re super excited to honor Dolly Parton and all her fun, fabulous energy performing to 9 to 5. 🦋

And if you didn’t get a chance to drop off your outgrown dance shoes or dancewear last week, you can bring them to Open House tonight! We’ll do our best to get everything out in today’s pop-up shop. Anything we can’t get out today will be saved for our winter Encore Pop-Up Shop! 💕

💕 Introducing ENCORE: From One Dancer to Another

At Footnotes, we believe dance is for everyone.

We also know that dancewear is often outgrown long before it’s worn out. Instead of throwing away ballet shoes with plenty of dancing left in them or leaving old leotards tucked away in a drawer, let’s pass them on to another dancer.

That’s why we’re launching Encore—our community dancewear exchange!

By sharing gently used dancewear, we’re helping:
💕 Make dance more accessible for every family
♻️ Reduce waste by keeping dancewear out of the landfill
🩰 Build a stronger dance community, from one dancer to another

🐍🌿 That’s a wrap on The Jungle Book! 🌿🐒

We had SO much fun this weekend with our summer production of The Jungle Book! Our dancers were absolutely adorable, and we loved watching them bring all of these fun characters to life on stage. 💚

Our 2026–2027 Season Calendar is here! 🎉

It’s time to start getting excited for another amazing dance season!

Our season calendar includes all of the important dates you’ll want to save, including class start dates, holiday breaks, picture days, Nutcracker events, Performance Team events, recital week, and more.

One important change this year: Our season will begin a little later than usual to better align with the Lewiston School District’s later start date.

🩰 Lewiston classes begin Monday, August 31
🩰 Orofino classes begin Wednesday, September 2

Please note that while we’ve done our best to finalize this calendar, some dates are tentative, and adjustments may be necessary throughout the season. If any changes occur, we’ll communicate them as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility!
