Big congratulations to the Red Brick 4th grade girls on winning the XGen AAU Kickstart Tournament this weekend! 🏆

The girls battled through four tough games and showed incredible teamwork, hustle, and determination all weekend long. We had great matchups against Last One Best One 3/4 and Full Court Hoops Force — every team competed with great spirit and continued to get better throughout the tournament.

Proud of the effort, growth, and sportsmanship shown by all the players. Way to represent, Red Brick! 💪🏀

We are partnering with the Special Olympics of New York and Village of Youngstown Recreation Department to offer an exciting new program: Special Olympics Junior Athletes Basketball! Spring Fling is here and weather is looking great again this year!! The fun run and all activities are free. We will have a basket auction again this year, all proceeds go towards recreational programming. Our first donor name tags have been hung on the retired Red Brick wooden backboards… Thank you to our donors!! Rest assured, we have more space available. Want to have your name or family name displayed on the backboards? We have put together a fundraising campaign that will allow you to have your individual name or family name placed on an engraved plate that will be adhered to the backboards. Space is limited, so reserve your spot as soon as possible! All funds will be applied towards:

✔ Keep basketball program prices affordable for families
✔ Purchase essential basketball equipment
✔ Expand basketball opportunities for all of our families

🏆 Level 1 – $100
• Thank you for your contribution to the Basketball Program.

🏆 Level 2 – $250
• Name or Family Name will have a small engraving plate to be placed on the retired wooden backboards that are hanging in the Hall of Legends at the Red Brick Gym.

🏆 Level 3 – $500
• Name or Family Name will have a large engraving plate to be placed on the retired wooden backboards that are hanging in the Hall of Legends at the Red Brick Gym.

Another great weekend for the Red Brick 4th grade girls spring basketball team at the Buffalo Titans Showcase Tournament! Thank you to the Buffalo Titans for the hospitality. Great games with our friends from Full Court Hoops Force. Both teams played with grit, toughness and sportsmanship. The 10U championship went into double overtime in a defensive chess match, Coach McDermott’s favorite style of game. It’s all about the learning…
