Im starting a free, after-school fiber arts club for kids at the Lewiston Public Library! 🧶🪡🎨

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 3:30-5:00pm kids can come visit the children’s department where we will explore a different fiber arts technique and create something to take home.

On November 1st we will be creating fabric collages on canvas!

Beginning the 1st of November, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month kids will have the opportunity to create a hands-on fiber arts craft with local fiber artist, Sadie , from 3:30PM – 5:00PM in the Children’s Department at the Lewiston Public Library.

Each week there will be a new fiber arts theme and craft to create. Follow the Lewiston Public Library page and Instagram where we will post each week’s theme and craft.

Free. In person. Recommended for ages 6-12. All arts and craft supplies will be provided.

🎨✨Tonight from 5:00PM - 6:30PM✨🎨I’ll be holding a very casual drop-in art group for all who would like to come create and relax.

Bring some supplies, a work in progress, or the inspiration to start something new~

We’ll have tables, drop cloths, some art supplies (especially fiber art supplies), and good company🖤

Location: 221 Lisbon Street, Lewiston at Munka Studio

Tonight’s last ✨Art Walk✨ of the season was one for the books:

A very special artist talk with Daniel Minter during his L/A Arts exhibition.

Vampire Family exhibit at Downtown Handmade with Anna Frangiosa

I found patches by Haywood Bleach Paintings. And original Krista Lord prints and paintings 🌿✨

Courtney Haven at Quiet City Books had intricate witches bookshelves and the Fading Light Exhibit.

Larissa Davis had her work on display along with her community arts collaboration piece. You can see some more of her work at Munka Studio and online on her page.

And Edna Sebastiao was displaying her debut book “Kindumba Kyawaba” with the Angolan Community Of Maine.

There’s more I missed and more to be discovered. Goodnight and keep learning and being inspired by others.

🍁🧶 yesterday was fun for this yarn goblin🧶🍁

Ventured out of my Lewiston studio for a pop-up and art demonstration in City of Auburn, Maine (Official) at the Anniversary Park Shops! J.Fiore was there doing amazing caricatures, Wicked Illustrations Studio and Gallery gave 2 free paint sessions, Auburn Public Library had books and storytimes, along with many other great shops! thank you to those that came out! ✨

A few new rugs came off the frame this week in time for my pop-up shop at Munka Studio tomorrow from 11am-4pm for the Mabon Makers Market🍂🍁🌙🖤

Downtown Handmade, Quiet City Books and Blue Jay Coffee will also be hosting local artisans for this Downtown Lewiston Art District event!!
