This is a HUGE win, not only our kids, but for our school and our entire community as well!! Out of 15 Bands participating in this year's festival, our very own Marching Dragons took top honors earning first place Overall and first place Color Guard. Congratulations to the Marching Dragons!!!!

Congratulations to the Marching Dragons for an outstanding performance in the West Virginia Strawberry Festival Grand Feature Parade!! As ambassadors from Lewisburg and the only band from Pennsylvania, these students represented our community with pride and excellence!! The parade route was packed with thousands of people, and everyone was very thankful and appreciative all along the parade route. We Are Dragons!!

The Band had a great Friday at the Strawberry Festival in WV! First, we attended the field show competition, then participated in a Concert Band competition, followed by the annual Firemen's Parade, and finished up the night with a win in the Drumline Battle!! All of our kids were outstanding all day and gave it their best!! On Saturday, we will march and compete in the Grand Feature Parade at 1:00pm. We are told there are as many as 15 bands participating! We will try to post some videos later!

Our band had the privilege to work with Dr. Christopher Marra on the stage of the Performing Arts Center at Seton Hill University this morning. It was a great experience in a fantastic venue! Dr. Marra helped us get one final tuneup on our way to our adjudication tomorrow in Buckhannon, WV.

Lewisburg Bands were well represented at the PMEA Conference at the Kalahari Convention Center this week! First, a HUGE congratulations to Henry, Ella, and Tyson for their participation in the All-State Concert Band and Orchestras!! These students each worked incredibly hard to get here and they truly earned their spots. There aren't words to accurately describe how amazing these ensembles sounded. The BEST of the BEST all together on one stage!

Dragon alums were there too! Katie Gruver ('22) performed with the Susquehanna University Percussion Ensemble; Jonah Carney ('23) and Gretta Hoffman-Aho ('21), both future music educators, performed with the PSU Concert Choir; Rachel Henry ('17) presented a session on Urban Learners; and Dr. Jenny Neff ('86) was a panelist for the Women Band Directors Community.

Proud of these awesome students for the work they’ve put in to the PMEA District 8 Jazz Fest! Thank you to Berwick Area School District for hosting! We have LAHS students performing with the vocal jazz group and DHEMS students with the jazz band! Congratulations on a fun day of music making! 🎵🥁🎸🎺🎷
