Stephanie Tsantes, Director

Having practiced law for more than 30 years in Delaware, cellist Stephanie Tsantes currently leads the Sussex Office of Conflicts Counsel in the Office of Defense Services. She previously was a trial attorney with the Public Defender’s Office and Deputy Attorney General for Delaware. She served on the Lewes City Council for twelve years.

Stephanie started cello in third grade and played through law school. After a 20 year hiatus from playing music while she pursued her legal career, she started playing cello again when she saw a Facebook post about a new orchestra in 2022. She is so glad to have music in her life once again.

Yesterday, SODELO had the honor of receiving a $5000 FACES Grant from the Carl M. Freeman Foundation. This grant directly supports our partnership with Children’s Beach House this summer where we will provide music enrichment and instruction for children with speech and hearing disabilities in our “SODELO Summer Sounds” Program.

This investment in the arts helps us continue creating meaningful musical experiences, expanding outreach opportunities, and bringing people together through the power of live performance.

We are incredibly grateful to the Carl M. Freeman Foundation for believing in the impact of the arts in our community. Thank you!!
