I’ve spent the last week focusing on my family during this difficult time. I’ve gone through lots of emotions from scared, anxious, bored, overwhelmed, and worried. I feel as though I am taking hold of these emotions and replacing them with positive thoughts. I hope to channel my emotions into my art and create , allowing me to be calm and happy.

During this time I know how important it is to keep a distance, would people like to learn about nature I enjoy and techniques I use to preserve nature? I could create videos and give recommendations? Venturing out into the woods is a safe and productive past time. And it’s very satisfying. I would love to share my love of nature with others if it will help get us through this difficult time. Which I know, in my heart, we will get through together.

I woke up this morning and saw so many new people have joined my page! I’m in shock! Thank you for checking out my art, I hope to inspire others to enjoy and appreciate nature. For the most part this is new territory for me, I have always collecting things I found outside but about 2 years ago I starting using art as a creative outlet. I found it helped with my anxiety and stress and has driven me to learn about our local plants and animals. I hope to take nature classes and help encourage others to care for nature.

I spent some time this morning collecting pieces of bark off the ground from this beautiful pine tree. The pieces come off in interesting shapes, designs and colors. I can’t seem to figure out what type of pine tree it is, Scotch pine? Red Pine?

I am so proud of my most recent art piece. This picture has some truly special nature items in it. The silver bark is from an old tree on a small island on Philips lake (a special place we go swimming at each year) I found the bark on the ground in the most beautiful shapes, textures and colors. The drift wood is from our family vacation to Popham Beach. The curly vines are from my friend Jen at her home in Levant ( she has some beautiful grape vines). The pods are from a locust tree at my daughters school in Hampden. I haven’t identified the leaves but I absolutely love their beautiful color and design.

I hope I inspire others to enjoy the outdoors and appreciate nature. I find so much happiness in it 🌳🌲🌿🍂

I’ve been making arrangements with my art, I hope to take some floral classes to learn more. This arrangement has purple loosestrife, fertile fronds, a beautiful Elm leaf (which I’m now learning about Dutch Elm disease, very sad) and the bottom of the vase is full of tiny pieces of drift wood from Popham Beach
