Special thanks to Andrew Siracuse Parker for entertaining the Leonia Seniors during our annual Ice Cream social this past Tuesday. Andrew was so inspiring that people sang along and danced! A good time was had by all. We wish Andrew lots of success as he heads off to college and we hope he will come back again and perform for us.

WE’RE STILL HIRING: SEASONAL BASKETBALL COORDINATOR

Leonia Recreation is looking for a Seasonal Basketball Coordinator to help oversee our Winter Recreation Basketball League for grades 3-8!

If you love basketball, enjoy working with people, and have strong leadership and communication skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities Include:
• Oversee game-day operations
• Supervise scoreboard staff
• Work with coaches, referees, players, and spectators
• Help enforce league rules and policies
• Ensure games run safely and on schedule
• Prepare weekly recaps with scores, standings, highlights, and updates

Qualifications:
• Must be 18+
• Organized, dependable, and professional
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Basketball knowledge preferred — training provided

Position Details:
Part-Time | 5–10 hours per week
Saturdays | December–March
Competitive salary based on experience

What an incredible day at Yankee Stadium!

Leonia Recreation’s 2nd Annual Yankee Stadium Trip brought our community together for a day of baseball, fun, and great memories! We enjoyed beautiful weather, cheered on the Yankees vs. the Braves, and took in the excitement of the 78th Old-Timers’ Game.⚾️

A special thank you to Marlon, our concession stand representative, and Denaro Limousines for helping make the day run smoothly! 👏
