A New York woman who owns a yarn shop (South Road Stitches) asked her daughter’s teacher to have all of her students color a picture of a winter hat. When the students returned from Winter Break, she had knitted each one an actual hat matching their drawing, getting the colors and design as close as she could (similar to Mrs. Bell's idea on TikTok). What a sweet winter surprise! Here are the hats and the student drawings.

This past week was a sad and scary one.

Serving families for the last 20 years in my Let’s Gogh Art biz, I’ve spent so much time with children and it breaks my heart to think of the fear they go through when these tragedies happen. It isn’t supposed to be this way.

I decided to put together this list of suggestions for helping children in crisis. I hope it helps a little one in your life. And remember Art is always great therapy…for everyone, and so easy and affordable to do at home.

Love this for our littles.

Even adults can feel anxious when they watch the news — but for kids, the bombardment of information about everything from violence to diseases to threats like climate change can feel completely overwhelming... and downright scary. Without perspective, kids don't know how to interpret and....
