Dancer of the Month: LUCY HALDEMAN for FOCUS!
We’re excited to recognize Lucy Haldeman, an 11-year-old 6th grader at Conestoga Valley Middle School, as our Dancer of the Month for FOCUS!
Lucy shared that focus is important to her because it helps her concentrate on her dancing and enjoy what she is doing. That ability to stay present, listen, and keep working is such an important part of growing as a dancer, and Lucy has shown that quality in her time at Hooley!
When asked what she loves most about Irish dance, Lucy’s answer was her dance teacher, who she says is “super encouraging and kind.” Her dance teacher is also her role model in Irish dance—a wonderful reminder of just how much encouragement and support can mean to a young dancer.
Lucy’s goals are simple but important: have fun and learn new skills! She knows the way to reach those goals is through practice and continuing to work hard. We love seeing Lucy bring that focused attitude into class while still remembering that enjoying the journey is just as important as reaching the next level.
Outside of Irish dance, Lucy enjoys art, crafts, bracelet making, and going to the mall.
Congratulations, Lucy! We are so proud to recognize you for FOCUS and can’t wait to watch you continue learning, growing, and having fun at Hooley!
