Lenox Contra Dance Come join us the 3rd Saturday of every month for contra dancing at the Lenox Community Center! Admission is $12 and $6 for students. All the dances are taught.

Come join us contra dancing on 3rd Saturday nights in Lenox, Massachusetts at the Lenox Community Center, at 65 Walker Street. Experience the pleasure of dancing on a beautiful wood floor, in a high-ceiling second floor (handicap accessible) ballroom with a raised stage. New Dancers - 2nd dance free! Dances begin with a beginner introduction at 7:15 followed by more experienced-level dances from 7

:30 to 10:30. Refreshments are offered during the social break from dancing. Come alone or with others!

The organizers of the Lenox Contra Dance have drafted an open letter to the contra dance community, calling for an end to policies that require dancers to be vaccinated -- what are commonly known as vaccine mandates. Several other dance organizations have signed this letter and we would welcome more signatories.

Ordinarily, we wouldn't presume to advise other dance organizations on their policies -- COVID-19 or otherwise -- but we feel obligated to do so in this case as we strongly believe that vaccine mandates no longer make sense, even as they continue to negatively impact the lives of so many dancers. We hope you agree or can at least understand our motivation for writing this letter.

Join us February 17-19 in Saratoga Springs for over 100 sessions with 40 performers, bands, callers and teachers from 18 genres.
We've got 23.5 hours of contra dancing scheduled throughout the weekend, 8 hours of swing and blues on Sunday, 25 "learn-how" workshops, 13 hours of performer-led jams and jam space open 24/7, and 9 separate dance and workshop spaces throughout the City Center and Hilton.
