Henkel Opera House

Henkel Opera House The Henkel Opera House was built in 1907 by Columbus Vance Henkel (1867-1926) and opened in early 1908.

The building is undergoing a historical preservation to be utilized for large gatherings, venues, wedding receptions, etc.

Such amazing attendance at the NC Blackberry Festival. While providing options for close, private parking, we reflected on how large the property is behind the Henkel Opera House. Our goal is still 100% Historical Preservation, and curious to ask for suggestions on the use of the back property. We, as well as other personal property owners, own the alley way property which is bordered by City property and alley runs through. Would love to turn this outside area into something AMAZING! What should it become and who is financially interested to see it happen??? Both behind the building and full 100% project?!?!
