BASKETBALL & CHEER REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Lenoir Parks & Recreation is excited to kick off another season of Youth Basketball & Cheer!
We aren't just about teaching kids how to play a sport. We want to create an environment where kids can: Build confidence, learn responsibility, develop teamwork, learn how to handle success AND disappointment, learn how to be a good teammate, build friendships, and make memories.

Years from now, we hope our kids don't just remember the games they played. We hope they remember the coach who believed in them, the teammates who became friends, the families who cheered for them, and the lessons they learned that helped them through life.
Because the season ends but the lessons can last a lifetime.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration: August 31 – October 9, 2026
Ages: 4–13
Age Cutoff: September 1
Season: November – Early February
Locations: Mulberry Recreation Center & MLK Recreation Center
Games: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
Games start at 6:00 PM
Registration Cost:
City Residents — $25
Out-of-City Residents — $50

Our school year is ending earlier this year, so we are working hard to make sure our sports seasons are completed before families begin their summer vacations.
Registering on time helps us get teams, coaches, schedules, uniforms, and everything else ready so we can stay on schedule and make sure our families can enjoy their summer!

We are looking for referees and scorekeepers!

Games start at 6:00 PM
PAID POSITIONS
YOU MAKE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE!
Choose the nights you are available. You don't have to work every night, and not every game is mandatory.
Parents you're already at the recreation center watching your child play…why not make some extra money while you're there?

This is a great opportunity to be part of the action, help create a fun experience for our young athletes, and GET PAID while doing it! Whether you have experience or are interested in getting involved in youth sports, we would love to hear from you!
