I love seeing my art hanging in a home. So pleased that The Smith Gallery & Fine Custom Framing sold and hung two pieces of my work in her dining room. Love to share the space with other local artists. Art lifts your spirit.

"Scarlet Dance." It features poppies swaying against a rich blue background. I work with a pallet knife to create these flowers. I wanted the of orange, red, and yellow to make the petals really pop. My newest piece, "Sunset at Quiet Cove." It’s a cozy 8” x 8” oil painting that invites you to a peaceful lakeside just as the sun dips below the horizon. I created it using only a pallet knife which brings out the texture of the rocky shore and trees, and the water plays with all those warm sunset colors. It’s an invitation to sit back and daydream by the water’s edge. Hope it brings you a moment of calm and a smile.

Sold this 20" x 10" Daisy painting at Easton Plein Aire this weekend. It was not an ordinary paint out. 2 hours is the usual time, BUT, it was raining. I almost went home, the rain slowed, and decided to set up under a tree. After the rain stopped I moved my easel closer to these Daisies. It turned out to be a rather lovely weather day for all of us to enjoy.
