Open studio focused on hand-building and creating in clay. Low Fire/06 clay (up to 5 lbs) and glazes provided for projects built during open studio time. No instruction is provided, but you’ll be working alongside dedicated artists from a variety of art fields.

Come and have fun learning to draw and paint en plein air (that's outside!), rain or shine! The goals of the workshop are not to necessarily create a frameable piece of art, but rather to learn to see, draw, compose, paint and capture the light from nature. Maybe you will even see a beautiful color for the first time! The more you paint from life, the more your studio paintings will excel. You will be forever changed! In each class there will be demonstrations and lots of one on one instruction. This workshop is suitable for beginners and advance painters alike. Students may work in acrylics, pastels or oils.

Eco Printing Workshop with Lisa Baumgartner Sept 20 & 21 (Fri & Sat), 1–4pm each day

In this 2 day workshop you will learn how to make botanical ‘eco prints’ on paper, and then explore ways in which the eco-printed paper can be used to make some simple booklets and cards. We will also talk about (and try out) some ways that the eco-prints can be embellished. All materials will be provided (or gathered during class time!)

Thursdays 1–4pm -- Printmaking Open Studio -- $10 walk-in fee -- no registration is required but please email the coordinator if you plan to attend (see our website for details)

Time for anyone who would like to have use of the printing press and get together with other printmakers. This provides a great opportunity for sharing ideas and getting feedback from each other. There is also the possibility for demos or teaching your process on a volunteer basis if interested. The coordinator will give help with the press but no scheduled instruction is provided.

Participants are responsible for bringing their own supplies.
