This summer marks a monumental decade since artist and sculptor John Lopez first purchased the two lots adjacent to the Kokomo, laying the foundation for what has become the heart of Lemmon, South Dakota: Boss Cowman Square. Over the last ten years, through the tireless dedication of John and his friends, this property has been transformed from vacant land into a vibrant cultural hub. From the historic Kokomo to the newly developed Lonesome Dove, these spaces have evolved into a sanctuary for creativity and community, hosting everything from dance and art classes to prestigious gallery shows and unforgettable weddings. John extends his deepest gratitude to everyone who helped bring this vision to life, honoring the legacy of a site that has transitioned from a local watering hole where many shared their first beer, into a world-class destination where locals and visitors alike can truly "get their wings" and find inspiration..
