About The Art: ‘Dive Motel’ was a labor of love, this canvas had several lives before I landed on what you see here. The motel sign featured is from a photo I took on one of my first trips to Vegas but the overall concept was influenced by a song my friend and I wrote by the same name. I’ve handwritten in pencil some of my favourite lyrics:

It doesn’t look like much, it’s not five stars
But they check in from near and far
The sheets aren’t clean and you get no sleep That’s why the rooms go so damn cheap
People come to commit their sins and wave farewell
All secrets are safe at The Dive Motel
