My oldest friend, , made us these beautiful stocking hooks. Naturally, we needed a place to put them so my Love, hung a mantel from a beam from the farm where we met. The stockings were made by me and hung with care.

Flowers on my table; I never regret buying flowers. Especially in January.

Flowers mark so many passages of time. Tulips turn to lilacs and lilacs turn to sunflowers; onward through the heat of the summer and into fall.
Flowers also mark the highlights through ones life. It is not lost on me that tonight I’m working on bouquets for both a wedding and a funeral.
I’m honored that I’m trusted with both.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the idiom “fake it till you make it”. I hate it. Even when the things I’ve done haven’t been particularly successful, they’ve never been fake; always involving an awful lot of learning.
So I’ve come up with “Learn it till you earn it” as my new guide.
